Marin County Home sales are trending down, and price reductions are increasing as sellers adjust their expectations. The Bay Area housing market has shifted to a balanced market and homes are taking longer to get into contract. Most homes are still getting into contract in less than 30 days! Unlike the dramatic national headlines, Marin County is quite insulated and, in comparison, only mildly effected.
This is completely opposite of last few years’ pandemic fueled boom and double-digit price appreciation. It’s too early to tell if this is a foreshadowing of a long-term trend.
